Sleeping Alfresco & a Sale Announcement

When I was a little girl, my next door neighbors had a lake house and would occasionally invite my family and me to spend the weekend.  My days were filled with learning to ski, catching frogs, and jumping from the top of the boat house into the deep dark waters of Badin Lake.

My Home Ideas

At night, the overflow of guests, ie. the kids usually slept on the screened porch which was lined with day beds.  Sleeping this way was such a treat and I was usually too tired to worry that a bear might come through the screen and get me.

Here are just a few images that look inviting for sleeping or simply taking a break in the middle of the day.

Thank you to everyone who responded with words of support and resources for my chair crisis.  I am feeling a little more confident that the upholstery can be done, but I might start with painter's canvas in case I mess up.  Maybe a bright coat of paint on the legs will detract from any mistakes :)

Also, in honor of Mother's Day, I am having a 15% off sale in my Etsy store now through Mother's Day.  Use promo code: MOTHERSDAY2011.  This discount does not include shipping.  Happy shopping!
