The Chair & a Reader Shout Out

Thank for your sweet comments yesterday. Parker enjoyed reading all of them last night after dinner and I think he was happy that we shared his poem.

In other news...

I am happy to report that I am making progress on the chair.  Because this is my very first upholstery project other than simple stools and dining chairs, to cut my losses I am using a drop cloth.  Don't worry, I will find a way to jazz it up.  I really want the back to be tufted instead of channels.  Jenny's post today has me dreaming of brass buttons.  If not buttons, then certainly nail head trim.

After all of this recent discussion of upholstery, one of my favorite readers shared one of her projects with me.  Many of you know Allison.  She is such a sweetheart and leaves the most thoughtful and supportive comments.  Allison was inspired by a project that she saw on the Isabella & Max blog  and here it is.

I could just eat this chair up it is so yummy!  Thank you for sharing this with us Allison!  I keep telling her that she needs to start a blog.  That's all for now - my chair is calling.
