Monday Inspiration | The Fall Mantel

This is the week of summer that takes on a more serious tone.  Just between us, it is my least favorite week of the summer.  We start gathering school supplies, try to get back into a "school's in session" sleep pattern, and rush to complete summer reading assignments.  This time around however, it will be a little different as we take our oldest son to college for the first time.  Our dining room is full of dorm room supplies waiting to be boxed up and labeled.  We leave Friday morning.  Sigh.

Fall mantels are a phenomenon that pop up about this time each year on the blogs.  If I'm being honest, I'm usually the last one to change out our mantel with fall decor - if I even do it at all.  I do like to see what everybody else is doing though.  One common thread in my favorite fall mantels, which I'm sure will come as no surprise, is natural elements.  Take a look at some oldies, but goodies.

What I love is that each mantel has something green and something wood to complete the look while still looking fresh.  What about you, do you change out your mantel each season?
