Custom Home Progress and a Winner....

Mr. and I got up early this morning and went for a long bike ride.  It felt amazing to be outside and feel the breeze on my skin.  We normally ride our bikes to the gym, but the weather hasn't been our friend this summer.  It seems like an eternity since we have had a morning like this when it wasn't raining or at least threatening to.  I love being up before everyone else and having the road to myself and taking in the sites and smells.  There is something so peaceful about that.  It almost doesn't feel like work.  Almost.

In other news, yesterday I checked in on a custom home that I have been working on.  The new home owners (who happen to be friends) found an inspiration image and wanted to replicate the trim detail on the ceiling in their new sitting room.  The last time I was there the lines were snapped on the ceiling marking the pattern. This time, the moulding was up and painted.

Watching this home progress has been so exciting.  The family plans to move into their new home in August.
