Every summer during my childhood, my family and I would spend a week at the beach. We normally stayed at the same house each year, but no matter what, Mom made sure that our beach house had an outdoor shower. I never fully understood the allure of the outdoor shower until I was much older. Now I'm actually quite taken with them and am scheming about ways to add a shower to our outdoor space. There's something peaceful and relaxing about showering outside after spending a long day on the beach or in the garden.
I've done some searching and have found a couple of options for creating an outdoor shower that doesn't require major plumbing or weather proofing at all like this last image and an even less expensive option (but not quite as charming) found here.
