Anna Mae Breads...I'm Hooked

Lucky for me, I happened to stumble upon this little blog named Anna Mae Breads one day. I was searching for local blogs and it just fell into my lap. As fate would have it, I'm hooked. The rolls made by Anna Mae Breads have been a hit at my house and now with new offerings such as cinnamon cranberry walnut loaves and rosemary and olive oil rolls, well, I'll just say it. We're in for it.

As much as I love bread, I also love a good story. With Anna Mae Breads comes a good story. It all began in the small town of Sparta, Tennessee. Shana who is now the owner/baker had a grandmother named Anna Mae who kept her family and friends in constant supply of bread. Shana realized the simple joy of giving bread to others and has since been inspired to continue this legacy herself.

"Embracing my roots as the daughter and granddaughter of farmers, I started making my grandmother's famed "Sweet Sourdough Bread and Rolls". I now have one simple goal: To start a Sweet Sourdough revolution! I want Sweet Sourdough added to the Lexicon! I want people to fall in love with soft breads and rolls again! I want the memory of my Oh So Southern grandmother to live forever through my bakery and her namesake, Anna Mae Breads!"  Shana
