A Girl's Room

I don't have a girl, but if I did, this would be a nice room for her.  This image from House Beautiful has been a favorite of mine for a long time now.  No, we're aren't expecting. The only thing I am expecting with two boys is to run out of groceries on a daily basis.  The contrast of the serene wall color paired with the crisp black and white then sprinkled with a little touch of girlish pink and organic bamboo shade strikes a nice balance.  Those sweater pillows are playful aren't they?  The tufted upholstered headboard and the silver tray add a bit of sophistication without being too stuffy...and then there's the monogram pillow.

I love the way Polka Dot Chair used hooks to display dress-up clothes.  To find out how she did it go here.

Red Door Home recently revealed her daughter's bedroom tranformation.  She made these sweet little dog silhouettes and hung them in pink frames.  To find out how she did it go here

To see the room revealed go here.  Oh by the way, speaking of monogram pillows, check out her etsy shop.

Isn't this room sweet?  I love the fact that it is pink and green in a not so pink and green way.  The trim on the shades is the same green as the door.  Love it.  The layered rug over the carpet gives the room such a cozy feel.  To see the entire room go here.

Do you have a girl?  How do you decorate her room?
