The Blue Room Reveal

Hey everybody.  I hope you all had a great weekend.  Boy has this ever been a busy one...in a good way.  We are so happy with the way the floors turned out and to keep this post from being too long, I am breaking it down into two posts.  By the way, are you tired of hearing about the floors?  I am.

I must admit, painting hardwood floors felt a little sacrilegious, but this space was converted from attic storage into living space.  As I have said before, the floors were scratched, dented, and orange.  Eventually they will be refinished, but we wanted to enjoy them now.  So for the last week, this has been my mission.  The only thing left to do is add the shoe molding.

I can honestly say that as hard as this little project was, it was so worth it.  The rooms not only look cleaner, but they are so much brighter and feel larger now.

I really like the contrast of the dark furniture on the white floors.

Check in tomorrow to see the green room which is my personal favorite.
By the way, last week, I picked up the ottoman and love it.  Yesterday someone bought the sofa so we now have ourselves an Ektorp.  Things are falling into place...
