The black stair rail has been trending for some time now and has always been around in small doses.  I really like the modern contrast it brings to a traditional interior.

I really like this modern country look.  The worn bench, the cotton rug, and natural elements paired with the visual pop from the banister - a good balance of old/new in my opinion.
