For as long as I can remember, our office has been the dumping ground for any picture waiting to be hung, or box waiting to be stored. Add the new shop into the mix, things have quickly gone from bad to worse. In order to keep my sanity and to be a bit more organized, office improvements have begun.
The shop has been so much fun for me for two reasons. I love to shop and only buy what I like AND I get to enjoy everything for a short time before someone buys it. This collection of milk glass and ceramics is actually being stored here, but looks like a collection on display. And yes, I jumped on the bandwagon and made one of those ridiculous coffee filter wreaths. I kind of like the way it looks above all of the white.
This cabinet holds fabric remnants and more shop items. I would love to paint it with a bold color like this red cabinet in this Ruthie Sommer's room.
Mr. is not too jived about this idea, but I'm still working on him ;)
This is another project that I am working on for the office inspired by this project. With all of the leftover fabric remnants I have, I simply could not justify buying more fabric without trying the permanent marker first. Sure enough it worked and the snow leopard design looks pretty good if I do say so myself. Sometimes making something from nothing is much more rewarding than going out and buying it. Now all it needs is some cork board and we will be in business.
I am on the hunt for a pretty floral for curtains in this room and don't want to spend a lot. Any suggestions?
