Client Inspiration - DIY Art

I have been very fortunate to be called upon by so many sweet clients.  My design business has really taken off thanks to my on-line clients, living social promotion, as well as local home owners who need my help.  To say that my dreams have come true would be an understatement.  Because of the work I do, I am still able to be home with my family and have the freedom that I have come to enjoy and cherish.  So, thank you to everyone who has made this dream a reality!

A recent on-line client of mine who has been in the process of extensive home renovations sent me this image for inspiration.

The image came from Cote De Texas, one of my favorite blogs, and the designer was Emily Johnston Larkin.  I love everything about it!  The room was planned on a small budget which you can read more about here.  One idea that caught my attention was the art behind the sofa (ektorp by the way).

These are old letters that were enlarged on a copier and framed in Ikea frames.  I think I saw this same concept highlighted in Southern Living a while back - does anyone remember?  This is a great low cost, high impact solution to fill the large wall.  The fact that the letters hold so much meaning makes it even better.

Do you need help planning a room?  Sometimes a mood board is all you need to jump start a space.  For more information about my services go here.
