One Room Challenge: Week Five

Howdy do! It is Wednesday and we all know what that means - a One Room Challenge update. If you have missed the other One Room Challenge posts, you can find them here. Last week I had big dreams of wrapping this puppy up, but then life came along and we all know how that goes. To my friends with young children, do your projects now because when they are older you will never be home on the weekends.

Enough of that...let's take a look, but keep in mind, this is very much a work in progress post.

You've probably been wanting to see a little more of the room so here goes. Not exactly finished, but getting closer. Originally we placed the sconces behind the bed and felt that it was too crowded. So we (meaning Mr.) moved them to the sidewall - perfection! Now for the framed art - here is the plan for the layout. I really wanted the arrangement to work around the curve of the bed and I think this will achieve that. Now my question to you is should I add trim to the shades?

In the other corner wearing white, we have the slip covered wing back chair that desperately needs to be ironed and a gallery wall in the works. The lamp is one that Tyler chose from the mountain house. Mom said he could pick a lamp and this was the one he liked. I think it was a good choice for his room.

Over the weekend we cleaned and re-arranged the closet. I brought in an old bookshelf from another room for the shoes (not that they will ever be here again, but whatever). Clothes in order by category and color, ha! Not exactly the closet you would lust after, but an improvement from where it was.
