Hello friends! Thank you for stopping by today! If you are new to these parts, you can read about the One Room Challenge and first week here. I do have an update and a more specific plan for the master bedroom for you this week. As I mentioned last week, I want to room to have a serene feel and the plan is to use creams, gold, grays, and blues.
I'm narrowing down my pillow choices and hope to make a final decision this week. I'm thinking Euro shams in either the stripe or the solid and one of the blue lumbars. I picked up new hotel bedding (white with blue trim) and think one of these pillow combos will work. Also, I plan to make a bedskirt to co-ordinate with the Euro shams. That should be fun :(. Once I decide on those details, I will choose a wall color. I'm leaning toward a warm gray because this room is on the north end of the house. It has an eastern facing window that only receives early sunlight and a north facing window. Have you used edgecomb gray? Over the weekend I painted the bedside tables a pretty cream color and am pleased with how they turned out. I would share them with you, but my computer has decided to hide my pictures from me along with my email. I could really scream right now. However, I did post them on instagram so if you would like to join that conversation you can do so here. Do you see the picture of the built-ins (above)? I'm planning to add similar trim detail to dress it up just a tad. And just because I have painted the backs of our bookcases what seems like a hundred times, don't think I won't do it again. They are currently urban bronze, but I feel this color is too strong now and I'm leaning toward something lighter. I'll probably save this decision for last after everything else is in place. Thanks again for stopping by!
Now let's see what the other One Room Challenge participants are up to...
