Que the music because you are about to meet my new best friend. "She's a brick house...she's mighty mighty"
This is Rosie. She is a robot. A mighty, might one. Her official name is Braava iRobot 380t. I believe she actually has a soul. She might possibly be my long lost sister. You think I'm kidding don't you? Allow me to explain...
When my iRobot arrived in the mail, I was slightly skeptical. I mean, how could a little machine possible clean a floor...to my standards? My iRobot Braava 380t floor mopping robot dry or damp mops virtually any hard surface with disposable or reusable microfiber cleaning cloths. How? Rosie has a GPS device inside that keeps track of where she's been and she doesn't stop until the entire room has been swept/mopped. This includes rooms with lots of furniture legs. Once she is finished, she returns to the spot where she started and powers down. It really is amazing.
I love that my helper can mop! Once the floor has been swept, all you do is fill the water tank, apply the dampened cloth, turn her on, and watch her go. We have wood floors and try to be careful when it comes to mopping. The Robot floor cleaner only releases a small amount of water periodically so that there is enough to clean the floors, but not so much that the floors are saturated. Brilliant! See how clean the dining room is?
Mattie Gray has adjusted to Rosie. At first she would follow it around and when our robot would turn she would bow down and start barking playfully. I think she also senses that Rosie is a kindred spirit. They are friends now, but Mattie Gray never turns her back when Rosie is at work.
The Braava 380t retails for $299.99 and is available for purchase on the iRobot website and also at major retailers.
So tell me, what would you rather be doing besides cleaning the floor?
