Arched Windows - What to Do?

A while back I shared a couple of concept boards of a local client project I had completed.  The living room had me somewhat stumped because of an arched window located on the front wall. The windows on the adjacent wall are not arched and are slightly lower than the front windows.  I knew in my mind that the best scenario for the room would be to hang all curtains at the same height (as high as possible).  Sometimes seeing is believing so I supplied my client with several images so she could get a visual. We both came to the conclusion that sometimes ignoring the arch is the best way to go.  We've all seen those awkward custom made shades/curtains to perfectly fit into an arch, but curtains when hung high and wide almost always look better.

What about you - when it comes to arched windows, do you have a preference?
