A Small New York Apartment

Suzanne Kasler recently helped her daughter Alexandra decorate her New York apartment.  The apartment itself has the overall organic look and feel of notorious to SK, but a few details, ie. art and vintage pieces add her daughter's touch.  Alexandra wanted a space that was peaceful and relaxing because the city itself is quite the opposite.  That is just what the two created and I could not love it more!

I'm not sure the height of the ceilings, but throughout the apartment the art is arranged in a way that draws your eye upward.

Most of the art is from Alexandra's travels and she used it throughout the apartment.

How charming is this little dining space?

The art behind the bed is Alexandra's and the mirrors are her mom's.  I love this fun and unexpected arrangement!  The vintage stools at the foot of the bed are the perfect touch!

The dresser is vintage and the burlap message board (from Ballard) is used to hang necklaces - a great space saver in a small space.

The row of hooks are also from Ballard.

Here you see another message board and the mirror hanging above it makes this space!
