Pine Cones {Mossy and Snowy}

I have always loved moss.  The family hikes, terrariums, and organic upbringing must have stuck with me because mossy anything really gets my attention.  Today while on an outing with my mother, I spotted moss covered pine cones and the seed was planted.

To do this you will need:

• Pine cones
• modge podge
  
• parsley
• kosher salt
• small paint brush

First, paint modge podge onto the pine cone randomly.  Next, sprinkle on the parsley.

Looks more like lichen than moss, not that there is anything wrong with lichen...I love it too.   Not completely satisfied with the outcome, I decided to grind the parsley in the coffee grinder.  Yes the coffee grinder.

Happy now.

Finally, I did the same thing with kosher salt hoping to achieve a snowy look.

 

 

I wonder if my husband will detect hints of parsley in our morning coffee.
