Getting Organized

Now that the office is taking shape, organizing it is in order!  For too long I have had magazines everywhere as well as other odds and ends in places that didn't make sense.  I knew this chest would come in handy to store some of the random things that are needed in our home.

I am a big fan of lining drawers with pretty papers.  The papers do not have to be scented, but if they are, then all the better.  A while back, I lined my closet with pretty paper and had three pieces left - exactly what I needed to line the drawers of the new-to-me chest.

I like to keep candles and votives handy so I put them in the top drawer along with my growing collection of Scentsy fragrances.

There is also room for those off season pillows, pillow covers, and extra fabric.

Over in the corner there is an armoire that houses lots of other items.  The boys' hats & gloves are held in the paisley containers.

I'm not sure when we should call hoarders, but yesterday I re-organized my magazine collection.  Even with all of the great sites like pinterest you would think that I could part with the magazines, but I cannot!  I mean what if the power goes out or something?  Sheesh!

One last bit of organizing...the boy corner!

I decided to move this little cabinet in to help with the hoarded magazines school supplies and client files.  The boxes came from IKEA and the Container Store striped bins came from Goodwill for $1 each!

I feel like I can finally relax and work in this room without the visual distractions and lack of organization.

Today, I am joining my friend Courtney from the blog, A Thoughtful Place.  Follow me there to learn more ways about organizing small spaces.
