Rethinking the Grand Foyer

New Homes have many perks.  New appliances, warranties, fresh paint, etc.  I personally would pick an older home any day, but that's just me.  The grand foyer is another feature that draws buyers in, but it could also be seen as wasted space.

The other day I saw this post for the first time.  I immediately thought of the many options for a little space like this!

I really like the idea of creating reading nooks within a home.  Somewhere for the kiddos or adults to pause and relax.

Another great use of space is to create a crafting nook or office space.

This could also be the perfect spot to add a tiny guest room.  What would you do with the extra space?
