One Room Challenge | Week Five

Welcome to week five of the One Room Challenge!  One week to go...can we do it?

Last week I showed you the beginnings of the gallery wall around the TV.  If you recall waaaay back, I was planning to paint another piece (a dresser) to go here.  I decided to instead move the chest of drawers to this wall.  It makes TV viewing so much better.  The only difference is that I do not want to paint this piece.  I've thought about changing the hardware, but haven't gotten very far with that.  So I'm trying to bring it into current times with a snazzy gallery wall.  I played around with arrangements and by using frames that I have, came up with this.  The piece of news paper you see is actually where the TV will go once the mounting device arrives.  Pay no attention to the art - it was what happened to be in the frames at the time and is about to change.  Now, I have thoughts on painting the frames, but wonder what you think.  Should I leave them white or paint a mix of black and gold keeping in mind the dresser is dark.

In other news, the built-ins received a fresh coat of paint and look like the dreamy custom lovelies we had hoped for!  Also, I painted out the backs with the wall color ( Worldy Gray, SW) and it made such a difference!  Light and airy here we come!

Only I'm so slow with the book shelf styling.  We have lots of books all over the floor and it is getting very old!

The shams arrived and I have put them to use creating a headboard where there is none.  I'm still playing with the pillow mix and have fiddled around until it is now too late to order anything else.

Will she finish the gallery wall?  Can she style the built-ins in less than a week?  Will there be any pillows in the window seat?  Answers to these questions and more next week!

Now let's see what the others are up to, shall we?
